Wired Glass is a type of safety glass with different properties than its Safety glass counterparts. Its also known as Wire-Mesh Glass and that is because there are wires running through the interior of the glass. Although most people attribute strength to this type of glass; that is incorrect because the wiring actually weakens the glass but significantly increases its fire resistant properties.
